![]() ![]() My doctor's office, my insurance agents, and myself have called this billing company to have this issue resolved COUNTLESS times. The medical code was resubmitted, my insurance company further acknowledged this and supported this, and I was advised that I was due to be reimbursed. I paid the charge and then discovered, given I was being treated for a Vitamin D deficiency, that I should not have been billed this charge at all. This third party billing company used for the labs billing services is utterly incompetent! I had a vitamin D test performed which was billed incorrectly to me with the wrong medical code. I have emailed, written, and physically mailed information to the billing company for a lab test I had performed literally a YEAR ago. I'll be trying to get Ascension to audit and re-code these charges since Jan 31st, 20202. This visit should be re-billed as an urgent care. These ER charges, like the sedation were deceitfully charged. Also I was told that there was a change on the door that you had to walk through to be considered an urgent care visit, but you are admitted at the same desk. I was told I signed paper agreeing that it was an ER visit, which I never would have agreed to had I known. The $1,324 ER room visit is still stands and my account, and other than sitting on the bed, I used nothing else in the room. I was initially and fraudulently billed $310 for what I was told was sedation that I never received, and which I believe has been removed after I asked that it be reviewed in an audit. ![]() My wife and I confirmed numerous times verbally that my visit was going to be considered an urgent care visit, and this was verbally confirmed each time. This location is an urgent care until 10:00pm. I arrived at around 7:00pm, and was out by 8:00pm. I called checked the website and called the Macomb Twp location before visiting, and also confirmed when checking in, that my visit would be an urgent care, and was told that it was.
